No, it wasn’t something that I said. It wasn’t something that I did. It was something that I wrote.
My assignment was type 2 in kids. You know, for back to school. The problem is the subject is grimmer than you can imagine. When kids get type 2 the disease is faster, more aggressive, and harder to treat than it is in adults. And the not-so-long-term outcomes will leave you reaching for Kleenex, or stiff drink. Or both.
In fact, the last line of the article sent me into a day-long depression. And I’m the one who wrote it.
